Greg Leppert is the Executive Director of the Institutional Data Initiative at Harvard, a research initiative working to refine and publish collections from knowledge institutions as high-quality, public datasets for AI training. He is also the Chief Technologist of the Berkman Klein Center.
Previously, Greg built startups in NYC and Austin, toured the U.S. and Canada in bands, sold a company to eBay, worked to acquire a hospital, founded a naming consultancy, designed a gold record, developed interfaces for data analysis, and worked in a historic letterpress studio.
Greg is a strong believer that most people want to do good in the world and are simply looking for the right way to go about it.
